The Long Way Home (2025)

In 2025, I completed my first student film as the director of photography. During this production, I stepped out of my comfort zone and tried a bigger role than I had before. I ended up falling in love with cinematography, bringing beautiful stories to life and creating a meaningful relationship for the audience to connect with on an emotional and personal level.

This short film is about a sister and a brother being forced to face their family troubles, as they get stuck in the middle of nowhere. They have to overcome their struggles together to get home.

Dink (2024)

My first credited project was a music video for an up-and-coming jazz band called Dink. We were inspired by Louis Armstrong and his strong influence on the jazz scene. For this music video, I helped cast the lead actor, choreographed the dancing, and did the cinematography. This was the first music video that I filmed, and it was an eye-opening experience on how the music industry works.

Revival (2025)

In 2025, I directed my first short documentary. This documentary was inspired by my personal love for jazz music. I wanted to create a documentary that highlights the passion of jazz musicians and how the music is ‘a part of their souls’ and reverberates through their bodies when they perform.

Revival contrasts two jazz bands: ‘Dink’, a band of 20-year-olds and ‘Jazz Racket’, a band of 50-year-old musicians. I wanted to show how jazz has changed and developed with each generation. Dink has more of an electric jazz sound, and Jazz Racket sticks to the classical jazz roots.
